PRIME MINISTER OF GEORGIA ON A WORKING VISIT TO USA

Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia has left for the United States of America (USA) for a Working Visit.

First meeting within the scope of the visit will be held at the White House in Washington D.C on September 17, 2018. Head of the Government of Georgia will be hosted by John Bolton, National Security Advisor to US President.

Prime Minister of Georgia will meet Mike Pompeo, US Secretary of State on September 20, 2018.

Discussions will be held within the scope of the visit with US Senators. Prime Minister of Georgia will also meet with Mark Andrew Green, Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Ray W. Washburne, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), Jim Yong Kim, President of the World Bank Group and Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Head of the Government of Georgia will address the participants of the 73rd Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly (UNGA 73) within the scope of his US visit in the Georgian language. Prior to that, Prime Minister of Georgia will attend the Opening Ceremony of UNGA 73.

Mamuka Bakhtadze is also invited to a Reception organized on behalf of US President Donald J. Trump and First Lady, which is held in the honor of the Heads of States and Governments participating in the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 73).

Bilateral meetings of the Prime Minister of Georgia are planned with EU leaders, Heads of States and Governments while visiting New York.

Prime Minister will also meet representatives of US businesses, international organizations, Georgian diaspora and students studying in New York.
