On 4-5 March 2005 Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli paid a working visit to Azerbaijan. He was met at Baku airport by Azerbaijani First Deputy Prime Minister Abbas Abbasov, Georgian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Mr. Zurab Gumberidze and Azerbaijani Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Ramaz Hasanov.
Noghaideli laid wreathes at the grave of late Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev's and the Martyrs' Avenue memorial. At a meeting of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers Noghaideli met Abbasov and the joint chairmen of the Georgian- Azerbaijani intergovernmental commission. Later Zurab Noghaideli met President Ilham Aliyev. In the evening the Azerbaijani government hosted an official dinner.
