Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze wished a Happy Ramadan Bayram to Muslims at Tbilisi's Juma Mosque.

The Prime Minister addressed the audience at the mosque with a speech and pointed out that the Muslim community is an inseparable part of Georgian society, and this centuries-old tradition of friendship is especially valuable.

"I am happy to be here today with you, our Muslim brothers. I wholeheartedly join you in celebrating this day, the end of the Ramadan fast, the greatest holiday in your religion, one observed with special joy. Together with you, I want to wish a happy holiday to every Muslim living in Georgia, each representative of the Muslim community.

"We take pride in the centuries-old historical relations, brotherhood that have been shaped between Georgian Christians and Muslims living in Georgia. Your unique culture is an inseparable part of our country's culture.

"For centuries, we have worked together, fought together for the prosperity of our common homeland, its progress and development. We do and will cherish these relations and brotherhood. Once again, I want to wish you a happy holiday. I am truly excited to be here today with you. I want to wish prosperity and happiness to each of you and your families. A happy feast day to you, and thank you very much," the Prime Minister said.

After a month of strict fasting, Georgian Muslims are celebrating Ramadan Bayram today.

The audience at the Tbilisi Juma Mosque were also addressed with speeches by Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze, Mufti of East Georgia Etibar Eminov, Sheikh of All Georgia Faig Nabiev, and Mufti of West Georgia Adam Shantadze.

The spiritual leaders of the Administration of All Muslims of Georgia thanked the Prime Minister for his holiday wishes and presented him with a commemorative gift.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps also attended the event at the Tbilisi Juma Mosque.
