Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Guðni Jóhannesson, President of Iceland.

The conversation at the meeting revolved around the bilateral relations and prospects of future cooperation between Georgia and Iceland.

The parties discussed sectoral cooperation in a variety of areas. The importance of subsequent exchange visits and active partnership on international platforms was pointed out. Attention was paid to the trade, economic, energy, and tourism cooperation between the two countries. The need to tap into the cooperation potential in this direction was underlined.
