Today, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili hosted a farewell meeting honoring Victoria Horvath, Hungary's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia.

The Head of Government underlined the bilateral and multilateral relations between the two countries and thanked the Ambassador for her efforts.

In the fight against the pandemic, Hungary has facilitated export of medications into Georgia, an unprecedented decision, according to Irakli Garibashvili.

The Prime Minister praised Hungary's support for Georgia sovereignty and territorial integrity, and European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and expressed hope that Hungary will remain active in assisting Georgia in the successful implementation of the European reform agenda.

The Prime Minister and the Hungarian Ambassador also discussed the importance of tapping into the full economic potential of the Black Sea. The Georgian Government is expecting European investments to make full use of said potential, Irakli Garibashvili underlined.

According to the Head of Government, Georgia and the European Union have developed a unique partnership, and Georgia has made an ambitious commitment to continuing political and economic reforms so that the country may be ready to apply for EU membership in 2024.
