Today, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey. Following the face-to-face meeting, the two countries' delegations engaged in broader-format talks.

The Prime Minister of Georgia and the President of the Republic of Turkey, during both the face-to-face meeting and broader-format talks, discussed top issues on the bilateral agenda and challenges facing the region, also setting prospects for further cooperation. Irakli Garibashvili expressed special gratitude to Recep Tayyip Erdogan for supporting Georgia's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and integration into NATO.

The parties singled out the strategic partnership between the two countries, with emphasis on economic cooperation and joint regional projects poised to secure the region's stability and gain importance beyond the region.

The Prime Minister of Georgia and the President of the Republic of Turkey discussed the issue of resuming the work of the Georgia-Turkey High-Level Strategic Partnership Council, a move that will contribute to deepening the relations between the countries and boost cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries. The parties emphasized the successful political, trade and economic, transport, energy, defense and security, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. Trade and economic, transport, and energy cooperation was discussed in detail. The parties underlined prospects of increasing Georgia's export into the Turkish market, given the fact that Turkey is one of Georgia's key trade partners. The conversation also touched on regional processes and prospects of further cooperation. Irakli Garibashvili andRecep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the trilateral Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey regional cooperation format and its prospects of further development.
