Today, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili held a meeting with Mehmet Cengiz, Cengiz Holding's Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The meeting discussed Georgia's favorable investment environment and prospective avenues for the holding to invest in Georgia.

Turkey is Georgia's strategic partner and friend country, the Head of Government pointed out, and the Georgian Government welcomes Turkish investors entering the country.

Cengiz Holding has been investing in infrastructure projects, energy and mining directions, since 1987. The group incorporates 35 companies and affiliates with an annual revenue exceeding 5 billion USD. Cengiz Holding is involved in construction-infrastructure projects including building and operating highways, bridges, tunnels, dams, seaports, railways, subway systems, airports, pipelines, power plants, and mining and industrial facilities.
The projects implemented by Cengiz Holding include, among others, Istanbul's New Airport, the Levent subway line in Istanbul, also the Ordu Giresun Airport, the first airport-on-the-sea in Turkey and Europe.
