Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wishes Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili a Happy Independence Day of Georgia.

In his congratulatory letter, Denys Shmyhal emphasizes that Georgia and Ukraine have considerable potential for deeper trade and economic cooperation.

"On behalf of Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers and my own, I wish you a Happy Independence Day of Georgia. I am convinced that the active cooperation under the strategic partnership between the Governments of Georgia and Ukraine will continue to serve as an effective tool to counter Russian aggression, to protect our states' sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to progress on the path toward European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

Georgia and Ukraine have considerable potential for deeper trade and economic cooperation, notably with tremendous impetus from the effective work of the Joint Georgia-Ukraine Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Commission.

I am looking forward to meeting with you in the nearest future to discuss various issues on the agenda of Georgia-Ukraine relations.

Dear Prime Minister, I wish you success in your public work, and peace, prosperity, and welfare to the Georgian people," the congratulatory letter reads.
