It is with deep respect and love that I wish you a Happy Ramazan Bayram! This day is one of love, kindness, and warmth, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili expressed his warmest wishes to Muslim spiritual leaders on the occasion of the Feast of Ramazan Bayram.

Irakli Garibashvili hosted Muslim spiritual leaders at the Administration of the Government. The meeting was attended by Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze.

According to the Head of Government, the Feast of Ramazan Bayram marks a day of warmth, love, and mutual care. Muslims and Christians living in Georgia have a long history of serving the country together, with due respect for each other's creed and mutual care.

"Today is a great day. It is with great respect and immense love that I wish you a Happy Ramazan Bayram! This day is one of love, kindness, and warmth. Once again, I join you in the celebration of this great feast with all my heart. As you know, because of the COVID pandemic, we do not gather as frequently, but we always had this tradition, during my tenure as Prime Minister, of coming together on a regular basis, holding conversations, sharing our concerns and problems, and making decisions; and I want us to continue our relations in this format. I know that Mister Vashakmadze maintains very positive friendly relations with you. And I will become personally involved to hold systematic meetings with you. Ultimately, we all are of course children and citizens of this country, and we are doing everything to make this country stronger; and, most importantly, to care for and treat another with love and respect. Once again, Happy Feast of Ramazan Bayram!" Irakli Garibashvili stated.

Mufti Adam Shantadze of West Georgia thanked the Prime Minister for the Government's assistance in relation to the evening prayers throughout the month of Ramazan.

"Firstly, I thank you for inviting us. God bless you and give you strength. I am also delivering warm greetings from our congregation. We are grateful for the Government's assistance in relation to the evening prayers throughout the month of Ramazan. For our part, we are observing every regulation from relevant health and state agencies, so that we, through our joint efforts, may overcome the pandemic. Historically, our country always has and continues to boast cultural, ethnic, and confessional diversity, and this diversity is our historical achievement and national and cultural treasure. Allow me to point out that both in the past and today people of different ethnicities and creeds coexist in this country harmoniously, as brothers and friends, making their contributions to the building of a strong unified state. And it is so today, and we see your support, commitment, and initiative in this direction," Mufti Adam Shantadze of West Georgia said.
