Qualification of staff employed at the State Security Service of Georgia is our number one priority in the context of our national security. It was announced by Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia when visiting the Training Centre of the State Security Service of the country.

As noted by the Head of Government of Georgia, the training centre was created in cooperation with partners and it will start releasing qualified staff to serve the needs of national security.

"Training Centre of the State Security Service is aimed at educating high caliber professionals. World is currently facing huge challenges globally and especially in the domain of security. Risks are rising in our region. Hence, qualification of staff employed at the State Security Service of Georgia is our number one priority today in the context of national security. Thus, this training centre has been established in cooperation with our partners and we are confident that it will soon start releasing the competent professionals to serve the needs of our country and its security. You may well be aware that security is an essential component for the development of any country in any direction, starting from the economy and continued with politics. Of course, regional security is the most important for us" noted Giorgi Gakharia.

The Prime Minister of Georgia visited the venue together with the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia and Head of the State Security Service of Georgia. Equipped with modern infrastructure, it will retrain the staff of the State Security Service of the country in most advanced technologies and programs. Giorgi Gakharia and Archil Talakvadze were briefed in detail about the centre by Grigol Liluashvili, Head of the State Security Service of Georgia. Namely, the institution is introducing a new system of staff selection, assessment and tailor-made training, which is based on the best practices of the EU and NATO member states. In addition, reform envisages the recruitment and training of qualified staff, who will shape into high calibre professionals through the tailor-made training of international standards.
