Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia spoke on the phone with H.E. Tadaharu Uehara, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Georgia today upon closure of his diplomatic tenure in the country.

The Head of Government of Georgia underlined the personal contribution of the ambassador to the advancement of relations between the two countries and expressed his gratitude.

The Prime Minister also noted in particular the significant financial and humanitarian support provided by the Government of Japan to Georgia in the conditions of the pandemic.

Discussions were related to various areas of cooperation between the two countries along with a positive trend of advancing bilateral relations.

Giorgi Gakharia wished success to the diplomat in his future endeavors and noted that Georgia will be always delighted to host him.
