The Prime Minister spoke with the fishermen about the state support programs implemented within the framework of the Enterprise Georgia Agency. Furthermore, the head of the government was informed by the fishermen about the issues that require greater support from the state, so that the existing state programs can be further expanded and the fishermen can carry out their activities more efficiently. Said support involves support for the purchase of a fishing vessel, as well as the co-financing of the necessary infrastructure.

After the meeting with the fishermen, a trilateral memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the Enterprise Georgia Agency, TBC Leasing, and the owner of the fishing vessel, according to which the construction of the first fishing vessel will be financed within the framework of the Enterprise Georgia program.

Adding the fishing sector to the state program Enterprise Georgia will help significantly update the fishing fleet, as well as create new jobs.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Natia Turnava, representatives of the local authorities, the banking sector, the Fishermen's Association, small-scale fishermen and fishing license holders.
