Prime Minister of Georgia Held a Regular Meeting with a Group of Clinical Management and Reanimatologists Print Version

Steps to be made for the greater effectiveness in the management of the process were discussed by and between Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia and a group of clinical management and reanimatologists today against the background of rising community transmission rate and current condition of the healthcare facilities throughout the country.

Special attention was paid to the healthcare protocols, which are essential to be regularly updated for a greater improvement of the process of patient care management.

As Tengiz Tsertsvadze, Head of the Clinical Group has mentioned at the meeting, it is a priority of the management process to avoid the decline in the quality of patient care and indicator of life saving. He focused on the fact that so far Georgia has been maintaining its status of having one of the lowest indicators of mortality per million people.

It was also noted that as of today at least 4000 beds are mobilized and it is the government's task to make about 800-1000 vacant places available in the hospital sector in full readiness. It was once again said at the meeting today that the process is manageable and the country stands ready to cope with the second wave of COVID-19 with a balance between adherence to the rules and precision targeted restrictions.
