Today, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia held a meeting with Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Assessment Mission (EAM) Jillian Stirk.
The meeting discussed issued pertaining to the upcoming October 31 parliamentary elections. The parties emphasized the importance of holding democratic, fair, and transparent elections, and agreed to continue close cooperation and coordination with OSCE/ODIHR on election-related issues.
Giorgi Gakharia reaffirmed the Georgian Government's commitment to ensuring maximal engagement of international observers in the electoral process and pointed out that, in light of the pandemic, their safety will be maximally protected.
