It is unfortunate that we have not overcome this difficult problem, and some people often try to use human tragedies for political conjuncture. Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia made this statement in response to journalists' question concerning the investigation into the death of football player Giorgi Shakarashvili.

According to the head of the government, in order prevent this from happening, the relevant investigative agencies have a direct obligation to the public not to leave any questions unanswered.

"It is unfortunate that we have not overcome this difficult problem, and some people often try to use human tragedies for political conjuncture. We have closed this topic. In order to prevent this from happening, the corresponding investigative agencies have a direct obligation to the public not to leave any questions unanswered, within the shortest possible time. Every last question - even a question posed by the last citizen, which may be unsubstantiated - must be answered immediately. We - as well as I, personally - have had a very bad experience in this regard, and we must learn our lessons. Correspondingly, in the coming hours and days, the relevant investigative agencies must provide answers to all the questions raised by the public. This is their obligation and their duty and I am certain that this is precisely what they will do," the prime minister stated.
