Today, the prime minister personally provided local entrepreneurs in Kakheti with information on the concessions targeting agriculture envisaged by the Anti-Crisis Economic Plan; Giorgi Gakharia visited the Mukuzani Nadarbazevi vineyards and familiarized himself with the working process of the Mukuzani Winery factory together with Environmental Protection and Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili, Kakheti Governor Irakli Kadagishvili, and Parliament Member Davit Songhulashvili.

The head of the government noted that the vineyard, grapes, and wine hold a special significance in Georgia. According to him, the grapevine is an integral part of Georgian culture and a unique symbol of ancient traditions, while wine production makes a significant contribution to the Georgian economy, which is precisely why the government will help this sector as much as possible.

It should be noted that 300 million GEL have been mobilized by the government within the framework of the Anti-Crisis Plan targeting villages, which will help farmers buy diesel fuel at concessionary prices and purchase fertilizers, plant protection and care products, and seeding and planting materials with financial assistance. The concessions will also apply to the cost of tilling works.

According to the prime minister, 8 million GEL of debt accumulated in 2012-2019 will be fully written off for farmers, and the state will fully cover the cost of amelioration services for 2020.

The head of the government expressed hope that this special approach will yield results. Giorgi Gakharia wished the local producers an abundant harvest and noted that this will bring the farmers prosperity while also strengthening the economy of the entire country.
