Today, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia held a meeting with PACE Rapporteur for the Monitoring of Georgia Titus Corlăţean, PACE Monitoring Committee Member and Deputy to the Head of the Secretariat Bas Klein, and Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia Christian Urse.

The parties discussed the country's reforms and emphasized ongoing political and pre-election processes.
The Council of Europe Office welcomed the recent agreement between the ruling party and the opposition on the upcoming 2020 parliamentary elections.

The meeting also touched on Georgia's fulfillment of its obligations assumed upon accession to the Council of Europe.
The meeting at the Government Administration was attended by Head of the Government Administration Natia Mezvrishvili, the Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Advisor Irakli Chikovani, and First Deputy Foreign Minister Vakhtang Makharoblishvili.
