Above all else, the 2020 budget must focus on citizens, and the continuous application of the principle of cutting bureaucratic expenses will be strictly controlled, and everyone must keep in mind the state's social responsibility, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated during today's Government meeting.

According to the Head of Government, preparations are underway for the development of the 2020 budget. The Prime Minister emphasized the key components to be included in the 2020 budget, and urged the Cabinet to make note of the budget's core principles.

"Infrastructural and capital expenses are important components of the budget, and they will be increased, of course, with the primary goal of benefiting our citizens by putting in place basic infrastructure. It is also important in economic terms as being crucial for economic growth. At the same time, we all must ensure the continuous application of the principle of cutting bureaucratic expenses, which will be strictly controlled," Giorgi Gakharia said.
