Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia congratulated Georgian sports fans with a decision made by EuroBasket to hold the pre-qualifiers in Georgia in 2021.
In the opinion of the Head of Government of Georgia, this is a huge victory for the Georgian basketball and sports community at large.
"In recent years, we have hosted series of most significant international sports tournaments in Georgia - Youth Games, World Championship in Chess, European Championship in Weightlifting and this time in 2021 we will be hosting one of the most popular championship of the EuroBasket in Georgia. It is a huge success. We rejoice for our teams that will run for the pre-qualifying stage and participate in as much as the main group. As you may know, it was a tough competition and we got prepared very well. Each detail was well analyzed and due results achieved. I wish to congratulate the entire country with this success and thank everyone, who was actively engaged in the process" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.
