Construction of an Education City will be completed in Tbilisi this autumn. Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia visited the construction site in Didi Dighomi district today together with Mikheil Batiashvili, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia.

Along with general education school of advanced standards, Education City will comprise science labs, Techno Park to develop the start-up skills from an early age, library, scientific lab, new school of Komarov, art school, conference halls, in-house recreation space, gym and external game fields.

Head of Government of Georgia got briefed about the process of construction and noted that similar projects will be implemented in all large cities of the country.

"We announced about the construction of a New Education City in Didi Dighomi district this May. A land plot of 13 hectares has been allocated for a general school for 1500 students. It will also home a Komarov school and most advanced labs of physics, chemistry and biology. New vocational training centers will also operate here, along with an arts school. We carry out similar projects in Batumi and all the large cities of Georgia. It is vital for us to let everyone gain access to modern infrastructure in the context of future created for our children" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Cost of the project implemented for the Education City amounts 20 MLN GEL. Environmentally friendly, clean, bio construction products will be used in the process of construction. Education establisghments of advanced standards will be adapted to children with special needs.
