Recovery of the coastline reinforcement in Kobuleti, envisaging 1.2 kilometers, has been completed. Newly recovered fragment of the reinforcement was inspected today by Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia together with Maya Tskitishvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and officials of the Municipal Development Fund (MDF).

Head of Government of Georgia has been briefed about the completed rehabilitation works and viewed the exhibition of images depicting the project implementation.

Prime Minister of Georgia also spoke with the coastguards and holidaymakers, who will benefit of the reinforced and upgraded coastline.

"Construction of the coastline fragment entailing 2 kilometers has been completed. It also included a remodeling of the boulevard. From September 15, 2019 we will resume the reconstruction works and the entire coastline infrastructure will be upgraded to the modern standards by the following holiday season. It is very important to advance the destination potential of Kobuleti. A lot of mid-range hotels and guesthouses are being built. Irrespective of the challenges faced, we took a decision to do our best in support of the local entrepreneurs. No project or investment, even small ones, will ever be put on hold therefore. June was special in terms of success achieved towards this end. Almost 40 percent growth rate was observed in contrast with a respective period of the previous year. Challenges followed afterwards, though I am confident that shared effort will let us succeed and cope with anything" stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Reinforcement of a 1.2 kilometer-long fragment of the Black Sea coastline in Kobuleti was completed in end-June. Upgraded infrastructure was soon followed with a new boulevard, extended parameters of the coastline for the recreation purposes and reduced impact of waves during the potential storms at the sea.
