Prime Minister Visits Winery Supported by the Ministry of Agriculture Print Version

Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze visited the winery of Chateau Valley established in the village of Sadmeli with support from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, with its investment value making up 1,850,000 GEL.
The Prime Minister familiarized himself with the enterprise equipped with modern laboratories and bottling line, and received information about the process of manufacturing from the winery's management.
According to the managers, the enterprise is capable of processing up to 60 tons of grapes per year. Presently, the enterprise produces three wine varieties: red semi-sweet Khvanchkara, red semi-sweet Ojaleshi, and dry red Aleksandrouli.
To build and equip the enterprise, the company received a 600,000 GEL grant from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, along with a 800,000 concessional loan, while the remaining amount was covered with a private investment.
The winery's seasonal work employs 10 people, with two of its full-time employees having returned to their ancestral land from the capital.
