"Only the most courageous people, who cherish their homeland, choose a profession to help others and put their lives at risk" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia when delivering a speech at an event marking a Professional Day of Policemen.
Head of Government of Georgia congratulated policemen with their professional day and noted that Georgia now has a politically neutral and unbiased police, which protects rule of law and public order.
"Today Georgia has police, which is adamant in fighting against crime and maintains highest standard of human rights in its operation. It is a huge and historic achievement and I wish to express my special gratitude to each of you for this. I wish to thank the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Minister himself for the implemented reforms and submission of a new reform agenda that will advance our police further. I am confident that as a result you will achieve a greater success, which will translate into the sovereign success" noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.
According to the Head of Government of Georgia, recent developments have clearly demonstrated the highest standard of professionalism, which is a quality of people working at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
"It was vital for us to solicit budget allocations to improve your social security. I pledge that we will continue doing so. In the recent past we have heard a lot of ungrounded accusations about the Georgian police. I wish to address you as an ordinary citizen of the country, rather than its Prime Minister and urge you to keep them out of your hearts. Obligation of endurance is a sign of high-caliber professionalism. I wish to tell you that every single citizen of Georgia is proud of you. You are the guarantee of peaceful development and advancement of Georgia. You instill assurances of this in each citizen of the country. I wish to thank you all for your contribution in the success achieved by Georgia. I wish to tell you that such enthusiasm, cohesion, loyalty and dedication towards our homeland, boundless professionalism will lead to a lot of more victories and success" added the Prime Minister of Georgia.
