Merab Kostava is an example of how all Georgian citizens should love their homeland, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stated in Mtatsminda Park, where laid a wreath at the grave of Merab Kostava to commemorate his 80th birthday.
The Head of Government also wished a Happy May 26, Independence Day, to all of Georgia.
"Today, Georgia's national hero Merab Kostava would have turned 80. The national movement, the great idea that has flourished into our country's independence is associated with his name. Merab Kostava is an example of how all Georgian citizen must love their homeland, how to fight for national interests. I bow down to his memory," the Prime Minister stated.
