Our goal is to ensure our diaspora's engagement in the cause of building our country, in every social activity, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stated during the briefing before today's Government meeting.
According to the Head of Government, the traditional annual forum will bring together representatives of the diaspora in Tbilisi, on May 27-28.
"At the same time, our new Constitution obligates us to have special relationships with our diaspora. There are many talented and loyal patriots who were forced to leave Georgia, and it is our goal to use their individual energy for the cause of building our homeland. As you know, we have established a special grant program. Also, representatives of our diaspora have prepared their own initiatives which, I am convinced, will be reflected in the parameters of the next year's budget," Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
