The Head of Government praises Christine Lagarde's visit as historic and states that Georgia enjoys very productive relations with the International Monetary Fund.

"Three years ago, we launched a very important program with very complex tasks and benchmarks to reach. A year ago, we successfully met every requirement and criterion. This means that we can receive more support from the International Monetary Fund," Mamuka Bakhtadze said.

The Head of Government thanked Christine Lagarde and the IMF team for support.

"I am convinced that our next program will be as successful as the ongoing program. We have identified clear priorities for this project, such as support for SMEs, access to finances, which is a serious problem facing our economy. We prioritize progress in this direction. It also encompasses financial technology, encouragement of startups, and our idea of national importance, of course, which is education as the only right path enabling us to ensure Georgia's rapid development and to overcome every challenge facing Georgia," the Prime Minister emphasized.
