Free choice is the most important achievement of our political team, something we cherish with special diligence, Georgian Prime Minister assessed the recent by-elections at the briefing before today's Government meeting.
According to the Head of Government, another democratic election has been held in a free environment under Georgian Dream in power.
"The candidates endorsed by us won in the first round in every district. As for Mtatsminda, we have a runoff, which is of course a demonstration of democratically conducted elections. I am convinced that the runoff will be just as peaceful, democratic, highest-standard as the first round, and the local residents will make their choice," the Prime Minister stated.
Irresponsible political forces are trying to bring dissonance into the voting process, but they will not succeed, Mamuka Bakhtadze emphasized.
The Head of Government expressed deep gratitude to the Election Commission, representatives of monitoring organizations, who, according to Bakhtadze, have exhibited a very high level of professionalism.
