Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze held a meeting with President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels. Special emphasis during the conversation was placed on Georgia's impressive progress toward European integration, and the country's democratic reforms.
The President of the European Commission pointed out that Georgia is a genuine, 100 percent, European country and the leader of the Eastern Partnership, with commendable and striking achievements. The dialogue also revolved around the Georgian Government's Roadmap seeking to enhance integration with the EU, for which, as it was stated during the meeting, Georgia deserves more.
The conversation underlined the fact that Georgia-EU relations are at an all-time high. According to the parties, it is evidenced by the highest-level format created just for Georgia by the EU, with its first meeting held in November of 2018, in Brussels.
The Head of Government and the President of the European Commission also discussed Georgia's far-reaching educational reform. In this context, the establishment of the European School in Tbilisi was singled out. The school enables young people to receive European-level education.
The meeting between Mamuka Bakhtadze and Jean-Claude Juncker, which was held under the Conference Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the eastern Partnership, was attended by Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani.
