PRIME MINISTER OF GEORGIA OBSERVES REHABILITATION WORKS AT BUKISTSIKHE-ZEMO SUREBI ACCESS ROAD Print Version

Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia observed the rehabilitation works at Bukistsikhe-Zemo Surebi access road of local significance within the Municipality of Chokhatauri. Works are currently progressing at 6.5 kilometers.

Head of Government of Georgia was briefed by the constructors on the progress achieved so far. Budget of the project exceeds 2.5 MLN GEL and rehabilitation process is expected to be completed by the end of the month. Project currently employs 38 people and is implemented by the Road Department of Georgia.

Prime Minister of Georgia noted that rehabilitation of an access road of local significance connecting Bukistsikhe with Zemo Surebi will facilitate a safe and comfortable transportation of local residents, improved connection of villages with each other and with an administrative center of the municipality. It is also expected to develop tourism in the region. Head of Government of Georgia spoke with local population about the reform initiatives pursued by the Government, within which significant infrastructure projects are planned, along with the construction of new schools and kindergartens. Prime Minister of Georgia was escorted to the region today by Maya Tskitishvili, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia; Zurab Nasaraia, State Representative in Guria.
