"Georgia is one of the key and most stable partners of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)" noted Catarina Bjorlin Hansen, Regional Director of EBRD for the Caucasus at a meeting with Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia today.

Parties discussed the performance of EBRD in Georgia and its plans for future at the meeting. Regional Director of EBRD expressed her gratitude to the Head of Government of Georgia for a fruitful cooperation.

As Prime Minister of Georgia noted at the meeting, EBRD is one of the key partners of Georgia towards infrastructure development. Head of Government of Georgia stressed that two years ago EBRD was one of the prime international financial institutions that started to invest in the regions of the country and has led to tangible results of infrastructure development.

As Head of Government of Georgia noted at the meeting, country plans to complete all the infrastructure projects in a few years and move towards new priority areas, such as education. Regional Director of EBRD noted that the international financial institution (IFI) stands ready to support Georgia in developing the infrastructure within the process of education system reform.

Meeting held at the Government Administration today was attended by Matteo Patrone, Managing Director of EBRD for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.
