As Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stated during the briefing before today's Government meeting, the development of the new Green City in Kobuleti will enable us to transform Adjara into a year-round destination.

According to the Prime Minister, it is the first time that as much as half a billion is invested in the tourism sector.

The Head of Government discussed the ongoing infrastructural projects in Batumi, and thanked Cartu Foundation for rehabilitating the unique building of Batumi Ilia Chavchavadze State theater of Drama, which reopened yesterday by hosting a premiere performance.

"In Batumi, we opened the newly rehabilitated the State Theater of Drama, a truly unique and most beautiful building, every Georgian's pride and joy. I would like to thank Cartu Foundation for this present. We also visited the new multifunctional sports complex meeting international standards, a project that will be completed this summer to be commissioned in a few months as the first sports complex of this capacity in Adjara. And we will launch similar projects in every region. A healthy lifestyle is our Government's top priority. In addition, I familiarized myself with preparations for upcoming the European Weightlifting Championships that we will host on April 6. It will reaffirm that Georgia is not only home to champions, but also a country capable of hosting any highest-level international tournament," Mamuka Bakhtadze stated.
