Prime Minister Visits Modern-Standard Sports Complex Construction Site in Batumi Print Version

In late summer, Batumi will have a modern-standard 3,400-seat sports complex. Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze visited the complex' construction site today.

Currently, work is underway to set up the sports complex roof, the façade is being painted, and water and power systems are being installed.

According to the Prime Minister, the implementation of similar projects, and the development of athletic infrastructure throughout the country, is prioritized by the Government, because it promotes mass youth engagement in sports and the introduction of a healthy lifestyle.
Besides functional arenas, the sports complex will incorporate administrative sections, conference halls, a medical center, and other supplementary facilities, all of which will be adapted to suit the needs of people with disabilities. The project's volume is 62 million USD, and 300 people are employed on the site.
