"We greatly focus on the progress achieved by Georgia in international ratings, as an integral part of our economic policy is to transform the country into a regional hub in terms of its economic development" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia when commenting on the rating released by the European Chamber (EuCham).

As noted by the Head of Government of Georgia at a press briefing held prior to the Executive Government Meeting today, Georgia has progressed among the Best European Countries for Business in 2019 by advancing 2 positions ahead in contrast with the previous year. Hence, Georgia is now ranked 16th among 46 countries of Europe, instead of the previous 18th position.

In the opinion of the Prime Minister of Georgia, this particular study of the EuCham is based on the assessment of the overall pro-business context, which covers the enabling environment, legislation, governance policy, social setting and conditions existing within the country.
