Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia met H.E. Dessislava Ivanova-Kozleva, Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia today.

Trend of productive cooperation between the two countries was noted at the meeting, along with the successful bilateral political cooperation and existing potential of intensified economic relations. Role of Bulgaria as a Contact Point Embassy of the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance (NATO) was underlined at the meeting.

Focus was made on the cooperation in logistics and the need to find the best use of Black Sea resources.

Prime Minister of Georgia and Ambassador of Bulgaria discussed the significance of direct air flights between Tbilisi and Sofia, along with the keen interest demonstrated by air companies towards this end.

One of the topics of discussion today was the intensification of cooperation in arts and culture. Significance assigned to the Days of European Culture was noted in this context, which will be hosted by Tbilisi this summer and Bulgaria will eagerly take part in it.
