As Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stated at the briefing before today's Government meeting, the Global Finance rankings are indicative of the success of our reforms. Still, there are important resources for building on this success.
According to the Head of Government, the American Global Finance Magazine has published its 2019 list of the safest countries in the world, ranking Georgia as the region's leader.
The Prime Minister elaborated that safety is defined by such components as safety of citizens, crime rates, personal security, and risks of conflicts.
"Of the world's 128 countries, Georgia ranks 49th with 9.68 points among the safest countries. It is an immense success, and we are ahead of many developed countries in a number of categories," Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
