ACCIONA EXPRESSES INTEREST IN DEVELOPING WIND AND SOLAR ENERGY IN GEORGIA Print Version

One of the world leaders of renewable energy - ACCIONA - got interested in the development of wind and solar energy stations in Georgia. As noted by Rafael Mateo Ascala, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company at his meeting with Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia held within the scope of World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos today, ACCIONA delegation will visit the country next month to see the existing opportunities.

Prime Minister of Georgia spoke with the investor on the investment climate and rich hydro resources of Georgia, low tax rates, leading position of the country in the Ease of Doing Business rankings and Georgian Co-Investment Fund (GCF) - the largest institution of its kind in Georgia.
It was noted during the discussion that consumption of power energy is increasing throughout the world and it is essential to find a rational use of untapped resources towards this end, as well as to seek maximum development of renewable sources of energy.
Meeting was attended by George Kobulia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and George Bachiashvili, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Georgian Co-Investment Fund (GCF).
