Favorable investment environment existing in Georgia, Government-led initiatives and growing relations of Georgia and China were discussed by Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia with Mr. Lyu Benxian, President of China Mensheng Investment Group (CMIG) within the scope of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos today.

Attention was paid to the positive trend of relations developing between Georgia and China, successful participation of Georgia in the China International Import Expo in Shanghai with the attendance of the Prime Minister of Georgia by the personal invitation of President Xi Jinping.

In the opinion of CMIG President, recent development process of Georgia is gratifying as it creates favorable environment for investments.

Potential areas of cooperation were discussed at the meeting along with the possible investment projects, which may be implemented by the largest Chinese private investment group.

CMIG is a leading private global investment group in China with a registered equity in the volume of 15 BLN USD, with a head office in Shanghai. Largest Chinese private investment group, which is mainly engaged in the energy, real estate, healthcare and financial sectors, is keenly interested in the implementation of investment projects in countries belonging to the Belt and Road Initiative.
