Prime Minister Visits Newly rehabilitated School in Telavi Print Version

Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze visited the newly rehabilitated Public School #9 in Telavi. The school has been fully renovated with financing from the Millennium Challenge Account.

The Head of Government visited the school's classrooms and laboratories equipped with modern technology, and spoke with the students.

According to Mamuka Bakhtadze, the Telavi Public School #9 is one of the best examples demonstrating the benefits of investments in educational infrastructure.

The Prime Minister reiterated gratitude to the US Government and the Millennium Challenge Corporation whose Second Compact has improved learning environment for more than 25,000 students in Georgia, with full rehabilitation in 91 public schools in the regions, of which 58 have been completed, The project's total budget is 54 million USD.

In his visit to Telavi's rehabilitated school, the Head of Government was accompanied by Minister of Education, Culture and Sport Mikheil Batiashvili.
