Georgia is about to start manufacturing energy-efficient concrete masonry units-Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze visited today the ongoing project involving 50 million GEL in investments and seeking to build a Ytong-branded energy-efficient masonry unit plant in Lilo.

According to the plant's management, modern equipment and devices will be installed once construction work is completed to manufacture energy-efficient building materials.

The company's management claims that Ytong construction blocks and their thermal conductors will enable consumers to save 20-30% of the heating/cooling expenses. Given the capacity of the production line, the plan plans to manufacture 160,000 cubic meters of concrete masonry units a year to be sold in both local and foreign markets.

The project is implemented jointly by the Partnership Fund, Ytong Capital, and German Xella.

The Prime Minister visited the construction site in the company of Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze and the Partnership Fund's CEO Davit Saganelidze.
