As it was pointed out during today's meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze and Minister of State for Europe and the Americas of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Alan Duncan, the Wardrop Strategic Dialogue is a clear demonstration of the relations between Great Britain and Georgia growing stronger every year.
Special emphasis during the meeting was placed on the strategic relations between Great Britain and Georgia, the positive dynamic in bilateral trade and economic relations, Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and the country's ongoing reforms and existing challenges.

According to Sir Alan Duncan, Georgia is the region's role model in terms of reforms, democratic excellence, and respect for human rights, and the Government's bold reform agenda is commendable. The importance of Georgia's educational reform was singled out.
Special emphasis was also placed on the role of the political, security and defense, trade and economic, and people-to-people contacts working groups under the Wardrop Strategic Dialogue.
Georgia's regional role, its defense partnership with Great Britain and cyber-security cooperation, on which the memorandum of understanding was signed today.
The meeting also emphasized the dire human rights situation in Georgia's occupied territories and the recent development in the village of Atotsi, over which Sit Alan Duncan expressed dep concern. The Minister of State for Europe and the Americas of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland reaffirmed firm support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The conversation also involved the importance of the engagement of the Good Governance Fund (GGF) in the empowerment of Georgia's state institutions and the country's democratic development. The Prime Minister thanked Sir Alan Duncan for his invaluable support in the development of the national security concept.
