As Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stated during the briefing before today's Government meeting, November 7, 2007 marks one of the most distressful days in Georgia's contemporary history.

According to the Head of Government, that day, the state, the then regime with its machinery of repression, went against the Georgian people, its own citizens, and trampled down their dignity and freedom.

"I am convinced that the Georgian nation will never let days like that reoccur in our democratic country, and will always remain committed to the values we have attained together," Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
