Greetings,
Firstly, I would like to emphasize that the presidential election were held in a peaceful, free, and democratic environment, as confirmed by the reports of international observation missions. That has become a tradition under our government since 2012, and that is the Georgian people's achievement.
I would like to thank each voter, each citizen, for activity.
I would like to thank the Election Administration, both local and international observation missions represented in significant numbers during the election. I maintained close personal communication with many of them. It is commendable that their reports are favorable, reiterating the high level of the country's election standards.
I would like to express special gratitude to our supporters, our activists, who have worked tirelessly to support the candidate endorsed by Georgian Dream. I would like to thank them all for their work.
I am grateful to the law enforcements ensuring public order at polling stations and throughout the country in general.
At the same time, I would like to emphasize that we have received a clear message from Georgian society, one pointing out our mistakes and the expectations our society has in relation to particular challenges concerning our citizens and their families. This election has taught us much, showing that a lot must be changed in the country in the shortest possible period. This message from our society has been received and taken in.
Therefore, we will ensure oneness of mind in the runoff, including that of our supporters who, for one reason or another, did not vote in yesterday's election. In the runoff, we will together celebrate the victory of the values for which we are all fighting.
Our homeland's tomorrow is decided only by the Georgian nation, and this choice will surely serve as the precondition of our country's unification, building, our society's consolidation, and irreversible democratic development, as befits our traditions, history, and future.
