The global security system is eroding. Naturally, it is largely due the Russian Federation's aggression against Georgia in 2008, the Prime Minister of Georgia told the press.
According to the Prime Minister, it is unfortunate that, at the time, no adequate response followed this aggression. Accordingly, the erosion continued.
"I believe that the global community understands well the value of security and a need for new initiatives, resolute steps, so that security may be ensured everywhere, especially in the sensitive region that includes Georgia. We enjoy full support, including in terms of non-recognition, despite the fact that many countries are pressured to take a step toward recognition. As you can see, we have full support from the global community, with the exception of few regimes, such as one in Syria. Therefore, our foreign policy is very successful, one focusing on a concrete goal," the Prime Minister said.
