Successful cooperation between Georgia and Estonia, support towards European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia were discussed by the Prime Ministers of Georgia and Estonia at a meeting held within the scope of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 73) today.

Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia and Jüri Ratas, Prime Minister of Estonia underlined the fruitful cooperation both within the bilateral and multilateral formats. Head of the Government of Georgia noted that authorities highly appreciate the significant support of Estonia towards European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia.

It was noted at the meeting that Estonia - as one of the leading reformers - serves as a role model for Georgia in many areas. Prime Minister of Georgia spoke about the reform initiatives planned by the government, which are aimed at the introduction of innovations at every tier of the education system, development of human capital, facilitation of rapid economic growth and making the eco system healthier.

Parties also discussed the prospects of intensified economic links and direct flights between Georgia and Estonia.

Discussions were related to the challenging humanitarian condition witnessed at the occupied territories of Georgia and peace initiatives of the government. Prime Minister of Georgia expressed his gratitude to Estonia for the unwavering support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
