Prime Minister’s Meeting with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Print Version

Today, Georgian Prime Minister held a meeting with Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia.

The meeting discussed the security and humanitarian situation in Georgia's occupied territories.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of the Geneva International Talks format and the mechanism for incident prevention and response, along with the need for effectively employing said platforms.

The discussion also involved the Georgian Government's peace initiative A Step to a Better Future designed to build confidence among the conflict-torn populations.
The meeting singled out the role of the EU Monitoring Mission in the peacemaking process and the importance of unrestricted access to the occupied territories for international missions.

The Prime Minister and the EU Special representative also discussed the obstacles on the path to finding and identifying missing persons.
