Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze held a meeting with the International Republican Institute's President Daniel Twining.
During the meeting, the Head of Government and the guests discussed Georgia as the West's partner and pillar of democracy. The conversation also involved the humanitarian problems in the occupied territories and the Georgian Government's peace initiative A Step to a Better Future.

The meeting also discussed the educational reform. The Prime Minister emphasized that the development of the educational sector as the Government's top priority and goal seeking to increase education's share in GDP to a double digit.
According to the Prime Minister, the authorities will once again ensure democratic, free, and transparent elections, also their commitment to supporting the maximal engagement of international observers and the third sector in this process.
The IRI delegation is visiting Georgia to attend the Tbilisi International Conference organized by the McCain Institute and the Economic Policy Research Center.
