Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze held a meeting with Executive Vice President of the Atlantic Council Damon Wilson.

The conversation involved Georgia's ongoing reforms seeking to empower the country's democratic institutions and ensure rapid economic development.

Mamuka Bakhtadze thanked the Atlantic Council for supporting Georgia and emphasized the organization's contribution to promoting Georgia's regional role and economic opportunities.

Special emphasis during the meeting was placed on Georgia-US strategic partnership and the ongoing high-level trade and investments dialogue between the two countries, as part of which negotiating bilateral free trade is a feasible prospect.

As the Vice President of the Atlantic Council emphasized, Georgia is an important reliable ally of the US in the region. He also underlined the country's great potential for economic development.

Damon Wilson invited Mamuka Bakhtadze to a high-level meeting to be organized by the Atlantic Council on September 24 in New York as part of the UN General Assembly. The top managers of leading US companies are expected to participate in the event.
