Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze held a meeting with President of the National Assembly of Armenia Ara Babloyan.

The parties discussed the neighborly relations between Georgia and Armenia, active parliamentary cooperation, and prospects of deeper economic, cultural, educational, and tourism cooperation.

As it was pointed out, the high-level meetings during the official visit will give new impetus to the development of bilateral relations.

According to the Prime Minister, Georgia has chosen the developmental path of parliamentary democracy.

Accordingly, cooperation with the legislative bodies of friend nations is of vital importance.

The larger format meeting with the participation of the members of the two countries' Governments and Parliaments was held at the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

The meeting was attended by Georgia's Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Giorgi Volski, and MPs Kakhaber Okriashvili, Samvel Manukyan, Enzel Mkoyan, and Ruslan Poghosyan.
