Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze held a meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of the Republic of Armenia.During the face-to-face meeting, the parties discussed the neighborly relations between the two countries, with emphasis on Georgia-Armenia cooperation across a variety of areas.

Nikol Pashinyan congratulated the Prime Minister of Georgia on his appointment to the office and expressed hope that his official visit to Armenia will contribute to the further development of the relations between the two countries.

Mamuka Bakhtadze thanked the Prime Minister of Armenia for hospitality and underlined Georgia's far-reaching reforms. As the Head of Government pointed out, numerous important steps will be taken toensure the country's transformation and rapid economic development.

The Prime Minister of Georgia also emphasized the country's European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations and underscored European integration as the Georgian nation's civilizational choice. 

After the face-to-face meeting, members of the two countries' Cabinets held larger format negotiations at the Government House of Armenia. 

The parties discussed prospects of further deepening economic ties between Georgia and Armenia, as well as cooperation in the areas of tourism and energy.

The Georgian side expressed willingness to share with its friends its experience in successful reforming. The larger format meeting was attended by Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Gia Volski, and Gene Georgian Railway's CEO Davit Peradze.
