"Main part of the rehabilitation works at Orbeliani Square will be completed in late 2018" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia today when observing the completed and pending works together with the Mayor of Tbilisi and Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia.

Rehabilitation of Orbeliani Square includes the construction and restoration works at 18 individual addresses and underground parking lot for 150 vehicles.

Construction and reinforcement works are completed by now and facades, artistic details are presently being recovered and restored, soon to be followed by the rehabilitation of roofs, etc.

Within the scope of the rehabilitation works, 13 monuments will be subject to relevant works by full compliance with the applicable rules and standards.

Total cost of works amounts about 55-60 million GEL.

Completion of the rehabilitation works will be followed by the arrangement of Orbeliani Square and adjacent streets. Flower market and recreation spaces will be organized and upgraded. Tbillisi will be enriched with one more pedestrian zone. Referred fragment of the city is an extension of a great touristic route from Mushtaidi Park to the Freedom Square through the rehabilitated David Aghmashenebeli Avenue.
